Canadian Space Agency astronaut Joshua Kutryk and NASA astronaut Anil Menon conducted a spacewalk on Oct. 29, 2026, while the International Space Station orbited 267 miles above the South Atlantic Ocean. The pair installed a new roll-out solar array on the station and completed preparatory work for a second spacewalk scheduled for Nov. 5, 2026.
During that November spacewalk, Kutryk and Menon will install the eighth and final roll-out solar array. Once all eight arrays are operational, they will increase the station's available power by up to 30%.
